THE "COUNCIL'S CELLAR"
The Rathskeller is the German term for ‘council’s cellar,’ a room in the basement of a civic building. Here at Jockey Hollow, the Rathskeller provides guests with the most flexible, private, and cost-effective event space. It offers a private bar, ample room for both a cocktail hour and a seated dinner, a separate entrance, and the ability to utilize multimedia for presentations, or offer live music for a fun time!

The Oyster Bar
CASUAL, CONTEMPORARY, FUN
The Oyster Bar features soaring ceilings, Italian marble, a grand and sweeping staircase, and a beautiful zinc bar. As it is the centerpiece of our restaurant, it is only available as a private event space through a full restaurant buyout.
Up to 70 people for a seated dinner in the Oyster Bar
Up to 130 for a cocktail reception in the Oyster Bar alone, or higher for a full restaurant buyout.

Up the grand staircase, the Washington Room is the center room of Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen's fine dining restaurant. Originally built to be the living quarters of Theodore Vail and his family, the center room overlooks the mansion’s 150-foot long reflecting pool.
The entire Dining Room, including the Speedwell and Arnold Rooms, is available for business lunches and more intimate private lunch events. The Washington Room is only available as a private event space through a full dining room buyout for dinner events.
Up to 40 guests can be seated in the Washington Room, but a full Dining Room buy-out can accommodate up to 90 seated guests.

A GLAM 1920's-STYLE COCKTAIL LOUNGE
The Vail Bar is located in the back of the first floor the mansion, just behind the grand staircase. This space is available through a full building buyout and can host a small cocktail hour.
