$93.00 Reminiscent of a fine Mersault, this rich, Burgundian-style Chardonnay from California was made from 35+ year old vines on George's Hill in the Russian River Valley. Farmed biodynamically and whole cluster-pressed, the wine was fermented with natural yeast and spent 11 months in 228 liter French Oak barrels before bottling. Brimming with yellow apple, honey, and hazelnut, but with zippy acidity and minerality on the finish, this is a close to Burgundy as we generally see in the Golden State. Bin: 5007
